Wake to the sound of waves and fall asleep to ocean breezes. This stunning beachfront retreat on North Carolina's Crystal Coast offers front-row seats to some of the East Coast's most spectacular sunsets.
We're not a hotel chain. We're the owners of two properties we deeply love — which means every detail has been personally considered for your comfort and joy.
From the firewood stacked on the porch to the surf gear in the shed, we've thought of everything so you can think of nothing but relaxing.
Our Story →Both properties are personally owned and maintained by us. You're getting a home we love, not a managed inventory unit. We answer our phones.

"Staying at Weatherhead Hollow was the most restorative week our family has had in years. The hollow is magical — quiet, beautiful, and perfectly set up. We're already planning our return trip."
— Guest Review, Weatherhead Hollow FarmsteadNestled in the rolling hills of Guilford, Vermont, Weatherhead Hollow Farmstead is a beautifully renovated historic New England farmhouse. The property sits in its own private hollow — a winding valley of forest, meadow, and stream — offering a genuine sense of escape from the world.
Just 15 minutes from the vibrant arts and dining scene in Brattleboro, you have the best of both worlds: peaceful seclusion and easy access to everything Southern Vermont has to offer.
Whether you're arriving for a ski weekend, a family reunion, a creative retreat, or simply a long overdue rest — the farmstead will exceed your expectations.

"The hollow is pure magic. We came for a ski trip and ended up spending half our time just sitting by the fire, not wanting to leave. The owners' local guide was invaluable — we discovered places we never would have found."
— Past Guest, Weatherhead Hollow FarmsteadEmerald Isle is one of the East Coast's best-kept secrets — a barrier island on North Carolina's Crystal Coast known for its pristine, uncrowded beaches, warm Gulf Stream waters, and spectacular Atlantic sunsets.
Our beach house puts you right on the water. Watch dolphins play in the surf from your deck, collect shells at sunrise, and fall asleep to the rhythm of the waves. This is a true beach escape — effortless, beautiful, and deeply restorative.
Whether you're chasing a family vacation, a romantic week, or a gathering of friends, the beach house delivers everything you need and nothing you don't.
Emerald Isle is a 12-mile barrier island on the Crystal Coast — known for warm, clear waters (thanks to the Gulf Stream), wide uncrowded beaches, and a friendly, unhurried atmosphere. Wildlife watching, kayaking in the Back Sound, fresh seafood, and stunning sunsets are just the beginning.
No booking fees. Direct with the owners. We'll make sure your stay is everything you're imagining.
"We've rented beach houses for years and this one is in a class of its own. The sunsets from the deck had us speechless every evening. We're already counting down to our next trip."
— Past Guest, Emerald Isle Beach HouseEverything you need to make the most of your time at Weatherhead Hollow — from the swimming holes only locals know to the best seat in every restaurant.
Brattleboro has a wonderful food scene, but things close early — rarely past 9pm. Always call ahead or check hours online, and book reservations for anywhere special.
Pro tip from us: Pick up groceries before heading up the hollow — the drive into Brattleboro is always worth it, but you'll want your first evening to be relaxing rather than errand-running. Swing through River Valley Co-op in Northampton if you're coming up I-91 from the south.
Everything in this guide is waiting for you. Book the farmstead and we'll share even more insider tips when you arrive.
Book the Vermont Cabin →We've always believed the best vacations leave you feeling both rested and inspired. These two properties are our attempt to create exactly that.
We fell in love with Vermont the first time we wandered into Weatherhead Hollow — the way the mountains close in gently around the road, the sound of the brook, the particular quality of light through the trees in October. We knew immediately we wanted to share it.
The Weatherhead Hollow Farmstead has been a labor of love — a historic New England property we've thoughtfully renovated to honor its heritage while making it genuinely comfortable for modern guests.
The Emerald Isle beach house is our coastal counterpart — a place where we first fell asleep to the sound of the Atlantic and never quite wanted to stop. The Crystal Coast of North Carolina is one of the most beautiful and underappreciated stretches of beach on the East Coast, and we wanted others to discover it.
When you stay with us, you're not booking a managed property — you're staying in homes we know intimately and care about deeply. We're always just a call away, and nothing makes us happier than a guest who discovers a new favorite spot from our local guide.
We respond promptly, share our favorite local secrets, and genuinely want your stay to exceed every expectation. This is personal for us.
Every detail — from the quality of the linens to the gear in the shed — has been personally selected. We stay at these properties ourselves, so we know exactly what matters.
We're invested in the communities around our properties. We actively support local businesses and want every guest to explore and love these places as much as we do.
Whether the mountains or the coast are calling you, we'd love to have you. Reach out anytime — we're happy to help you find the perfect dates.
Questions about the properties, availability, pricing, or anything else — we're real people who love talking about our homes. Reach out any time.
We manage both properties personally, so whether you're inquiring about Vermont or the beach, you'll always be talking to an owner.
No booking platform fees. When you book directly with us, 100% of your rental fee goes toward the property experience — not to a booking platform's commission. We pass that savings along and can often offer more flexibility on dates and arrangements.
